Datar Wholesalers began as a neighbourhood shop with a simple belief: good, honest food shouldn't come at a premium. Over the years we've grown into one of the area's most trusted wholesale grocery and spice destinations, serving families, home cooks, caterers, restaurants and small retailers alike — all under one roof, at prices that make sense.
What we sell. We specialise in dry and bulk groceries: fragrant basmati and long-grain rice, brown and red lentils, chana dal, sugar beans and split peas, freshly packed spices and masala blends, cooking oils, a full wall of cordials and syrups, bottled water by the tray, snacks, savouries and the everyday essentials that keep a kitchen running. Whether you need a single pack or a bulk sack, we've got the shelf space and the stock.

All online orders are delivered nationwide through The Courier Guy, one of South Africa's most reliable courier networks.
How it works
- Once your order and payment are confirmed via PayFast, your items are picked and packed at our store.
- We book the collection with The Courier Guy, who collect from us within 1–2 business days.
- You receive a tracking number by email/WhatsApp so you can follow your parcel to your door.
Delivery times
- Main centres: 2–3 business days after collection.
- Regional / outlying areas: 3–5 business days after collection.
Shipping is charged as a flat courier fee shown at checkout. Bulk or heavy orders may be quoted separately — we'll always confirm before dispatch.
Returns & Exchanges
We want you to be happy with every order from Datar Wholesalers.
Return window
You have 7 days from the date you receive your parcel to request a return or exchange on eligible items. Products must be unopened, unused and in their original packaging. For food-safety reasons, opened consumable goods cannot be returned unless faulty.
Late or missing items
If your parcel is delayed, please check your Courier Guy tracking link first. If it still hasn't arrived within the expected window, contact us on WhatsApp (021 638 2786) with your order number and we'll trace it with the courier.
If an item is missing or damaged on arrival, let us know within 48 hours of delivery with a photo, and we'll arrange a replacement or refund.

By using the Datar Wholesalers website and placing an order, you agree to the following terms.
Orders & pricing
All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable. We do our best to keep pricing and stock accurate, but prices and availability may change without notice. We reserve the right to cancel and refund an order if an item is out of stock or incorrectly priced.
Payment
Payments are processed securely through PayFast. Orders are only dispatched once payment has cleared.
Delivery
Delivery timelines are estimates provided by The Courier Guy and are not guaranteed. Datar Wholesalers is not liable for courier delays outside our control.

We share only what is necessary with our payment provider (PayFast) and courier (The Courier Guy) to complete your order.
